Yeah Wallbanger....I do pull a reefer. I've pulled flats, tanks(fuel), dry, doubles....liked the flatbed the best.....but, had been away from them for 13 years when I came back out OTR....would have had to ride for a few weeks...had to start makin' money. Might give it a whirl after my daughter has the baby in May....sometime around June or July when Mama comes back to work...she can run this truck....and I can ride for a few weeks...I think she would fit in on the flatbeds....she doesn't mind working and sweating....I'd jus have to do ALL the climbing. Depends on how happy she is at the time. I only know 1 tanker-yanker over here....and I haven't seen him in a few months. I know they keep pretty busy...well... we all keep busy IF we want to. There certainly is no shortage of freight around here.

Thanks for the reply, I figured you guys (and gals) were running hard over there. A good friend of mine, used to run for Prime a while back, and his experience was similar to yours (he even lives in Springfield, go figure).

And I know what you mean, I need to get back on the road and start making some green pronto, but to me the 3-5 weeks of training are worth it to learn something new. Especially since they pull foodgrade, it's something I really want to do (just like reefer, people need to eat, slowdowns are not as bad as dryvan).

Thanks Jugg.....and welcome along for the ride. We're loading ICE CREAM in the middle of the desert.....Las Vegas to be exact.....heading to MA. We're gonna take it to the yard in Springfield and drop it so someone that wants to can go to the EAST COAST.... I figure we'll grab a load headed to Cali for Monday.....End the week strong....and get a good start for next week.... One thing for sure...you ain't gonna get any thing any good off the East Coast. Or, at least I never have. We should be on the yard tomorrow evening....right about supper time....mmmmmm I can smell those ribeyes cookin' already!!! They have some good cooks at the cafeteria at the Prime Palace!! Any of you YAYHOO'S close by come on in and take a look-see....I'll buy dinner!

Just throw them out there when you get a chance....I'm finding more time now that SWMBO is feeling more confident about her driving. But, occasionally....it may take me a couple of days...so don't think I'm dodging.

Boy did I mess up..... Had a load of Ice Cream going to MA.....dumped it off at Springfield....good move....got a load to CA.....good move....was sooooo happy not to be going to the East Coast....didn't bother to check the dates.....DUH! Man in Driver Lineup says load delivers 12/4......got here early...ran in the door....smilin'....man inside says...."Homes...you ain't due here til' tomorrow!"

What a ####### I am.... Gonna try to get this dropped today at Fontana...HOPEFULLY! Depending on the load balance. Otherwise I had a good week going....BUT, now this load won't go on this week....Oh well, just make next week better.

Take 'er easy there driver, don't be so hard on yourself!

Could you copy the bills, fax in a copy of the bills with an unintelligble (sp) signature, and get the trip on for this week? With the last two companies I drove for, that was an easy way to get paid THIS friday for a load delivered THIS monday ;) .

Just a thought, I realize you probably don't want to mess with a good thing like you got (and I cannot blame you at all).

Probably could.... But.... If I scan it today....and they tell me to drop it after I scan.... I'm screwed.

My big problem with myself is that I cost myself and SWMBO a day.... and Santa Claus is coming to town....

Good thing tho..... it's sunny and 80....instead of snowing and 20....!!
