Glad your happy flatbed, just don't bust yourself up anymore. Hope to see you in person on the road someday. I should be in Dallas on Wednesday.

Ok so I didnt get my load I was after. I wasnt gonna post but, since I didnt get home I will post some more.
Monday I loaded in WY going to Texas. Paid net 924. I cant remeber my numbers I just posted while im eating dinner at whites.
Since I have family on long island I took a load from texas to long island paying 3364. 10,000lbs 4 chains no tarp.
I spent a lot in fuel 833 because of my huge DH. Still not bad. I got 400 bucks today for a driver referral.
Net 3455 plus 400 referral is a nice week.
The agent called me and asked if I minded reloading at the same place I deliver on monday.
1.91 a mile 1080 miles to Wisconsin. Yes I took it and I booked a load home before my wife kicks my #####.
Best week so far! Wow!
Edit : subtract 52 bucks for locking fuel caps since they dont have fuel.Last edited: Nov 2, 2012

I'm glad to hear, you don't have a problem with deadheading as we sometimes do a lot of that here and it tends to scare the new guys.
I'd rather deadhead away from cheap freight to pickup the good stuff even if it boils down to the same or less money.
Hope I remember that Monday as I'm spending the weekend in Alamago, NM. -

on my way to jacksonville, fl i do what i have to do to make money. if it means a deadhead every now and again, so be it.
it is all part of the process, i myself dont look at things on a week to week basis but more of monthly and quarterly basis. -
By the week is all I ever focused on because it was all about high miles. You said it and you were right. Its about what you net not how much you drive. So true. The most miles I did in a week was 2600 here. 4100 where I came from. My first month at Mercer was a success imo. Now my coordinator mentioned driving for a certain company for a couple months maybe pulling doubles. Is it worth it?
