ummm, i gues if your too lazy to do it yourself. you can always pay a lawyer.

there is no court proceedings. in utah. you pay $10. submit fingerprints. wait for the letter. go back. get another paper. take it court house. pay the filing fee. leave one copy with court. take one to arresting police agency. one goes to arresting jail. one goes to the prosecuting attorney olffice. one goes to criminal that you submitted fingerprints. and you get one copy.

everybody does there thing and your done. no lawyer whatsoever.

yeah, it's about $60 for the court filing fee if i remember right. on top of the $10 for fingerprints to start the whole process.

so why anyone would hire a lawyer would be beyond me. all it takes is a few dollars and some time from your life.

Has nothing to do with laziness driver, and that's a heck of a callous insinuation but some people have a serious problem admitting when they're wrong and feel compelled to toss an insult when they've been shown the error of their ways. Some people want a guarantee a lawyer provides since it's not automatic. Here's one more for you ... you're dead wrong about Utah having "no court proceedings." Read the instructions here http://www.utcourts.gov/howto/expunge/ and take special care to read "Petition to Expunge Records" section where it very plainly indicates, "The petitioner must file the petition in the COURT." If you need additional clarification or education regarding these matters of which you're uninformed, I'll be more than glad to set you straight ... again, sans insult.

sorry about your luck charlie. but WITHOUT reading the proceedings you posted. i'm very well INFORMED of how the proceedings work.

cuz i did it NOT ONCE but THREE TIMES. never filed a petition. never used a lawyer.

i speak from EXPERIENCE. not research done on the internet.

maybe it is UUUUUUU who should learn to listen. instead of calling people liars.

so yes, i will call people lazy who want to pay an additional lawyers fee. for something they can do themselves.

No one called you a "liar" driver, unlike you who inadvertently called me lazy. I instructed you are wrong and you immensely misinterpreted it and made it personal. The term "liar" came from your lips and in lieu of your recent comments I am now aware you are projecting. You -were- wrong regarding your lawyer comment and you are wrong again regarding the process requiring court proceedings so you are -not- as informed as you would like to believe and if you're trying to claim you did it with no court involvement, you're pegging the BS meter. Perhaps that is yet another of your now-evident personal problems, your refusal to read what's what. I, and every other educated person are inclined to believe the State of Utah's official government site opposed to your claimed anecdotal experience where you say you're right and the state's Website is wrong. In any event, some of us have no need for anything like you mention because we obey the law and have clean criminal records. Nevertheless, it's irrelevant to the knowledge some of us have regarding the law and like I indicated before, some people have serious issues admitting when they're wrong.
