You can get a birth certificate online.... there are a couple of companies you can go thru, you just need to know you name, DOB and city/county. I just did mine, had it overnighted, got it in 3 days. Time depends on how busy the state agency is.
Type in State of XXX birth certificate, there's are several links for each state.

I guess a person wouldn't have to be very creative to become a legitimate citizen in America then, all you would need is a small amount of information about someone, pretty much information that you could lift from someones job application or something similar. Kind of like here at home, we no longer have to get a title notarized to sell a vehicle, break in to someones home, grab the title, and take the car on the way out of Dodge, but if it is a TWIC card that you need.... one hundred seventy miles to the nearest port, twice. We had a local gas station that had an employee lifting information from customers credit cards and then spending evenings shopping, until she got caught. Need a passport, you have to send your birth certificate in with the passport application form, then they return it to you in the mail, because they don't trust the local post office personal to examine someones birth certificate. Isn't it comical sometimes the things that our government comes up with?

I am waiting to see how long before they put a restriction on Methane production from living animals and we have to run a DPF to fart.

    I just see it happening...

Not sure it would be that hard but when I applied for a lost certificate it asked me so many questions I could have screwed up easy, it would take a person some time but anything is possible.

Oh, so it isn't just a matter of filling in the date and location and easy type questions, that's what I would have been worried about. They must have a system set up that would not grant you the certificate if you didn't answer properly on a few questions.

    aiwiron Thanks this.

If I missed 2 questions it locked my possibility of a copy, all the questions took 30 minutes to answer and it was multiple choice.

In the events over my lifetime and I am in my 50's it was kind of crazy some of the questions were from 40 years ago.

    Taildragon Thanks this.

Hmm... the site I used didn't ask very many questions....I think I used Vitalcheck. Was surprised how easy it was.
