Sitting at Home. Got me home a day early and now have 7 days off. Not all by plan, but it will be nice to spend time with daughter.

Oh, delivered in a Max Security prison on Wednesday, Stillwater.. That was interesting. Obviously doesn't look or feel like a Max, but I guess it is.

Sitting at the J west of Omaha on 80. Was supposed to pick up at 0800 tomorrow at a jobsite, but I guess our other truck picking up at another jobsite this afternoon got delayed or something. Now he is loading in the morning and then they have to drive the equipment to my jobsite later. Supposedly 4-5 hours later. I hope that driver was late because of circumstance and not poor planning because now I'm getting screwed because of it. :/

I've already seen 2 other roehl flatbedders at this pilot with the same load as me. I guess we're all going to the port in the morning.

I'll stay out longer if I get to Wisconsin and can get a trainers truck and get into a class.

Took about 3 hours for the WI permit to arrive at the Appleton shipper for the Chinese fire truck. Stopped in Marshfield to get the remaining permits for MN, ND, MT, ID & WA. Called the port in Aberdeen, WA - they will take the load any weekday as long as they receive 24 hours notice. Got the guy's cell phone number - he said to call over the weekend if I am arriving Monday, which is possible since I have about 1800 miles to go.

Now at the brand new FJ in Roberts, WI off I94 XT 10. This truck stop is not in the book or the GPS - it's so new that only the store/rest rooms/driver lounge are open - the McDonalds has yet to be installed. The parking is a medium sized lot and some of the slots are too short. Not the best use of space IMO. But hey it sure is clean here...

I just helped a Werner truck get out of a spot he got himself stuck in (thereby saving my newfound buddy's (another Roehl flatbeds) front end from getting ripped off. Then I stopped him from backing into a Prime trucks mirror. Then tried to give him some advice on a 45 back, who trains these guys???? I'm going to have to go train for Werner, apparently they need me more. lol

Though to be fair I helped the Roehl guy get into his spot too, new guy, but he had the basics down. :)

Things like this make me wonder what the planners are thinking. If I remember right, you are going to Baltimore..(LOL If I'm wrong, then this won't make any sense, so just disregard the rest of this...)
Chris is delivering in Langhorne PA tomorrow morning..his pre-plan is sending him down to Baltimore to pick up a load heading to Sussex WI for Monday..You are going to be in Baltimore and they are sending you up to PA to load for Green Bay. It doesn't make sense to me. You would think that the truck that was closer to the pick-up would get the load.

Dave and I used to let the NE planner plan our trucks then we'd swap at the shipper so both of our drivers could get home.

At the cons in Pittsburgh on my 10. I got a pre plan for tomorrow but my appt in Hermitage PA isn't until 1300!! FM told me she will try and get it moved up. I am heading to Romeoville for Saturday morning delivery. I guess I will be hounding her tomorrow for the rest of my weekend.
