....and just WHAT in the name of all that is holy does this have to do with the discussion at hand?Dewey120, shadowfax, sdlm and 1 other person Thank this. -
What I thought I read was it would be worth it to you to go to jail for giving someone more than a tongue lashing for backing into your truck. Maybe I misunderstood.
-
What you read was that I was appalled by the concept of going to jail for giving someone a well-deserved piece of my mind. It used to be that you went to jailf for actually endangering someone or breaking the law, nut just for offending some candy-assed whiner.

England has to care a little bit, I got a QC message to our whole fleet, it told us that a otr driver in one of our yards had bit a powerline and caused damage and that if we knew the trucknumber to send it in immediately lol so now they expect us to watch the otr drivers to make sure they don't hit and run, that is something at least
-
They only cared about it because it was going to cost them money.
-
yup, bullseye
-
Damage that they apparently got caught doing>so they have to write the check. Hit and run damage>if they get away with it no check involved!Marky84 Thanks this.

I knew CRE didn't pay drivers enough to eat on, but THIS is ridiculous!!

(I had to, sdlm!) -
You supposedly drive a truck for a living, so you should understand just how ridiculous it sounds to claim that somebody rammed into you with what is essentially a 30 ton building and you didn't get his name, didn't get his information, had absolutely no witnesses and didn't even contact the authorities until it was too late. I remember training a driver six months ago. It was night time, pier 39 in SF, and he took out a glass encased billboard while trying to back my 26 foot straight truck. People were capturing the accident with their iphones. One chinaman even started jumping up and down screaming "I got it on video!" over and over again. This was a stupid billboard, not another persons rig or personal injury, and people were acting as if he'd just rattled the saber for world war three. I just can't imagine your story ever being plausible in the world of technology we live in today...
...and people make #### up all the time here. you wouldn't be the first and you #### sure won't be the last...
