Fiberglass same as any other truck on the road, only thing that can interfear with cellphone/GPS signal is lead or thick concrete like when u go inside some buildings that.are made from cynder blocks u still have service on your phone but when u don't its because they have poured concrete from uptop in all the holes and shoved rebar in the holes makes the building much sturdier I was a construction worker before I drove a truck

You'll get a stronger dose of RF from your cell phone than you will the QualComm transceiver.

The thought was more along the line of being able to keep antennas inside the truck, rather than working out the logistics of mounting them outside. (And I'm talking VHF and up; no HF/CB antennas inside.)

Even fiberglass has some shielding effect, it's small so we usually call it insertion loss - that's why Garmin, RM, etc want their dash-mounted GPS units up front in the glassed-in area. You'd see that interference mostly when dealing with weaker signals. That being said, all you can do is what the rest of us do... mess with it, and see if you can get it to work.

MsJamie, I had no problem mounting a vhf/uhf ham antenna, a gf whip, and satellite radio externally on my truck with prime.

I know I have a little while before I start with Prime but I hope they are not too particular about putting a CB in the truck.

She's talking about INSIDE the truck.

Nope... in fact the detail shop will do it for you.

Awesome and all we have to do is provide the radio and antennas?

Just the radio, and you can buy that at the company store, any truckstop and maybe even RadioShack still has some radios.

    snowman1 Thanks this.
