I prefer the Cobra 29BT, blue tooth CB radio with an external speaker, as my hands free device.

No you don't. I WISH you did...but you don't. When you are in phone mode, the mic is "hot".

No you don't. You only press the blue button, once to answer and once to hang up. Pressing any of the mic buttons during a conversation will disconnect the call, including the regular push to talk key. I've screwed up and done it.

I've never had the call disconnect when I accidentally keyed up. Only that little blue button connects/disconnects.

My biggest complaint about it (besides the mic not really being a true "noise cancelling" mic in phone mode) is the fact that pushing the blue button redials the last number you dialed....not the last number you were speaking to. In other words, if an incoming call gets dropped, there is no easy way to reconnect...have to either wait for them to call you back or you'll have to actually dial their number to call them back. Pressing and holding that blue button ought to dial to reconnect the last call...not just the last outgoing number.

I didn't know it would redial, like that. I guess after all these years, I should dig out the manual and see what it actually does! That is IF I can still find it.
