Well buddy, you're about 112 miles south of me if you're in Lakehurst. If you'll be there tomorrow let me know and I'll jump on the HOG and head south instead of north tomorrow.

tried to but the forum says you need to clear out some space. It won't let me PM you. Don't know if you still have it but it's the same number as always.

    This week: 2,072.

Missed scanning in a trip sheet by Wednesday early AM cut-off (got lazy), otherwise it would have been 2,482.

    Hello There. :biggrin_25511:

I've just completed my assignment with FEMA bringing loaded trailers into staging areas here in the northeast. If there's a negative at all to this type of work is that waiting is a necessary by-product. But as long as your paid for waiting it's tolerable.

I want to thank the members of AMVETS Post 2 in Jackson, NJ for allow myself and 4 other drivers to be temporary residents. Even though their weekend was bustling with activities and ceremony, they never forgot about us. They made us part of their family.

For this we are truly grateful. :biggrin_25514:

Not sure when I'll be officially rolling as our release from the FEMA detail came late in the day. I'm sure I'll find out soon enough.

    In other news.........

I've been able to spend a fair amount of time on my novel, over the last couple of days, which, I'm happy to report, is slowly taking shape.

    Who knows.........

...........Maybe I'll finish it while we still make books. :biggrin_25525:

    Thanks for reading.

Well, it doesn't look like I'll be joining the USX team after all. I dunno if disorganization is company wide, but the recruiting process has scared me off. First, my recruiter told me everything was in order and to call & schedule for orientation, done.

I put in two weeks notice at my current job. Then I call scheduling the Thursday before I am to be in orientation and they tell me that I need to talk to my recruiter & transfer me. The lady who I was transferred to tells me that I need to send in my release and tax paperwork to prove self employment. I say "I already did & Brandon (my recruiter) had everything approved." She says Brandon left the company, nothing is done, we can't move forward until we have the paperwork.

So, I resend everything and ask my boss if I can work another week. Thankfully, I have provided quality service and he accommodated. I call to check progress the following Tuesday and my name shows up in the system, but with no recruiter assigned. I finally got a recruiter assigned and guess what? They lost my paperwork AGAIN! Resent for a third time.

I can't get ahold of my "recruiter" Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. Asked the boss if I could extend my employment yet another week, yes again, whew! This is week four since I gave notice to my job, I am now training my replacement and I have no job to go to, thanks a lot USXpress.

This cloud has a silver lining though, Heyl Trucking extended a solid offer, much better than USX in my opinion.
