    Amazing what you hear!!!
I have a small hatred for new and for Reman and lets face it someone who wants injectors done usually want them serviced properly and to do that they must come apart and as such a good ORIGINAL second hand in most cases is better than any Reman.
However a set of 1913003 which is an early C15/C16 are rubbish with the old silver plungers and tips that split. there was also a serial number batch of 10R0957 that split tips so there is some to avoid or its costly to ship only to put them in the rubbish pile.

Keep in mind I don't do Injectors for a living and mostly enjoy the challenge of a sweet set like I did for Kurt.

First of all I live in Australia so to do Injectors for you guyz in USA is not so easy. Then when u do a set for someone who doesn't understand the true operation of the electronic Cat engine and they have issues they blame the injectors. Hence me doing them for Kurt!!
Cost????? well Freight to and from oz is the first hurdle!! then what? STD Injectors? HIGH HP Injectors? what type of tips? what are the Core Injectors like and are they usable?
You guyz really need someone in USA to step up and get their head around these injectors. That way I can enjoy relaxing at the Beach and naked woman in OZ and not think about Injectors LOL

Well the truth comes out....I just wish I had known before I ordered the IPD injectors yesterday. Maybe they'll at least be better than the last 3 sets of Cats....

I have some IPD injectors here and can buy them through IPD as I have a dealership in OZ for IPD parts. there maybe a way for me to use IPD and strip them down and service those and then ship them to USA but have the Cores sent direct to IPD in USA.. that would eliminate shipping one way as IPD would bring the Injectors into OZ in their bulk shipments and they carry stock. Still nowhere near as cost effective as doing a set u own as you still have to pay for the IPD set as you would a CAT Reman only to tear it apart and rebuild it.

So what your saying is your not interested in shipping back and forth or getting involved with that side of things? The cost to do it properly would end up alot more than a new set of cat ones, with shipping and enough fat in them for someone to make a living. and how many people out there throw that sort of money around. Who has the money to spend? But as I say you pay for what you get!

I was comparing the cost not the work, I know what you do and I would not compare the workmanship or the end results.

Maybe you should just get a hold of Cat and tell them you want to take over the Remaning of their injectors :biggrin_25525: Get things in line for them. Im just joking around but it sure would be sweet to get what you pay for and Cat remans aren't very cheap especially if were getting garbage right out of the box.

I test and Calibrate many Cat reman straight out of the box and some are quite good. some are average and some dont even fire a shot.. its a case of "is it your lucky day" when you buy a set.
Testing can be interesting to say the least and one set I did I struggled to the 3rd injector and then gave up and gave them back to the owner and said I cant help you.. other sets have been within 5% and quite good.
Some people have never had an issue "that they know of" with reman and some have had nightmares. I simply wont wont fit new or reman unless I've tested and calibrated first. the cost to chase a low Hp or a vibration or engine flutter after they are installed out weighs the time and money to test them first.

So how many people out there would be willing to pay more than cat new injector price to have a sweet set of injectors in there hands?
keeping in mind your fuel economy will gain as wel as alot of other perks!
