There IS no list, see what we said above. Pound the pavement, ask other driver locally... see what they are doing. whom they work for, and go in in person. Be neat and clean, act like a pro... Filter advice, u know about everything u do to get a good job in another field. The point we are trying to make is it take work and effort on your part to find these jobs... Nobody is gonna hand u a list... There are lists of jobs in every truck stop.. These are NOT them kind of jobs. They don't have to advertise and create a list. It's possible, I did it... a few years go.

I know there's a lot of food distributors in mass. Like C&S or market basket. There's a market basket warehouse in Tewksbury mass which is kind of close to NH But like shredfit said just pound the pavement. Also when handing in an app Try to talk to someone like a supervisor so they can meet you. Also another good thing to do is if you see a driver of a company you would like to work at talk to him and see what chance you would have.

This happens to me quite often where a newbie talks to me about my company and I tell them we do hire out of school drivers and there like well my school said that the best thing to do is work for the big company's to get the experience then move on to where you want too. When I went to school I told them I wanted to do local and they said good luck.

They called me one year after I got my license to follow up and I told them where I work and the guy was amazed. There are so many trucking companies in the northeast so you have a good chance of finding one you would like. Smaller the company the better (in most cases) but not too small you don't want to start with an outfit with 5 trucks because when the money's short who's the first one to get affected... The employes. I hope people take this wisdom and use it. In the end there's thousands of companies not just the big outfits.

My buddy just got a job there it's a good job but I wouldn't recommend that for a newbie. A&R specializes in bulk trailers. They haul plastic pellets for mold injections.

I worked for a drybulk carrier & they were short 2 drivers and no applicants, so hired 2 right out of CDL school. They did great. The job is much simpler than it looks. My neighbor works at A&R Transport and makes average $72K per year, and the average for drivers there is $65K. Great company.

Out of the funky bunch that did school with me a year ago almost all were gone from Conway within months. One guy works for Sysco, two work for Central Transport, one for Reddy Ice and one for a local milk hauler. The only ones that stayed just havent looked hard enough. Its all a matter of calling and/or showing up. You would be amazed to see the amount of local jobs you can get if you do your homework.

Yea my buddy says he loves the job. I have 2yrs in now for experience (on paper) and he's trying to get me in. Mon-Friday with the option of being home every day and also get to drive the truck home. That's a great job right there.
