After reading this forum and others like it for a while now, I have come to the conclusion that the problem with the trucking industry is that drivers like to keep it all on the inside and never complain.

And for those of you that "never" complain about dispatchers; no matter the company or industry, enough
"non-complaints" to management about an employee will get noticed.

So stop keeping it all bottled up...:biggrin_255:

Are you saying drivers don't complain enough ?? Man, I hope that was tongue in cheek ! Driver's are the biggest cry baby, whining, bunch of can't see past the tip of their nose jerk-off's I've ever met in my life ! And I'm one of them so I should know. Most dispatcher's consider themselves more baby-sitter's than industry professionals.

I'm sorry for saying that, but it's true. I had a lot of success as a company driver before I became an owner-op. And most of my success I attribute to simply taking every load given and doing it well without complaining. The few times I did have to complain, guess what ?? I was actually taken seriously. Most drivers don't understand that you have to take the crap with the cream. Every load is not going to be gravy. Like it or not your dispatchers and load planners kind of hold your future in their hands. You might be surprised what happens if you learn to communicate with them effectively and help them solve their problems instead of creating more for them.

Pretty funny! Just remember trucking companys are dispatching trucks Not drivers. Last I knew a Truck couldn't complain. As for the driver they could care less Just drive the truck.

I used to have a dispatcher when I would complain that would say to me "Thanks for doing your Job" And hang up the phone.
When he would tell me I got your Apt. changed or loaded towards Home I would Say "Thanks For doing your job" and hang up the phone

We actually had a good relationship. But #####in and moanin to the Company won't get you nowhere Fast but on the Sh^t List.

Does anyone on here remember the old days when the only communication available was a Room Full of pay phones at the truck stop. I am sure there are plenty that do. I cannot count how many times I had seen drivers Smash the Phone receiver against the pay phone shattering it Cursing. And I would be there on the phone with my wife and it sounded like a fight just broke out.

    The Good ole Days....lol

I learned business 101 from a movie one time...It was a quote in the movie.

"Companies pay people enough, so they won't leave,
People work hard enough so they don't get fired."
