Looks to me that some people have kept the technology used to do this a secret and no one here even new ADI existed until morehp blew the whistle.

I just tried you again, I also sent a message to your website. It may be that it will work better if you can send me a message at irobertson@cogeco.ca and I can respond.
    Thx

I've had good results from the Bully Dog. ACERTS seem to respond well. My fuel consumption dropped by about 5%. I've heard of others doing better but I installed mine in November of 2010 and installed my OPS by pass filter and switched to synthetic oil on the same day, ( not a good idea I know ) early last year I returned it to stock a few times playing around with it and saw 25-35 liter per trip increases ( again close to 5% ).

I did find the stock economy tune a little weak and the performance and economy tune a little much so I had them set me up with one right in the middle and I'm happy with it. For rough math I say it paid for it's self in about 5 months

Sounds like you're onto a great deal there ENR...I suggest you ask a few questions regarding these injectors though. Not quite sure if Neil realizes his injectors will be going in an acert? Not trying to start an argument, as I don't exactly know how these injectors are put together or calibrated etc. I do know if you flow more than 5% of fuel from a standard acert injector, with standard acert programing, your idle characteristics will alter. What will happen to your ECM fuel rack at idle with these injectors? It may go low enough to develop a lope/hunt at idle. Another thing I would ask is how will these injectors cause my engine to behave? As 'fuel rack' is a lot more sensitive in an acert given RPM and boost inputs. Is there 'tune ability' with these injectors? How much fuel will actually be added? In turn how much more hp will be added? How will these injectors work with my tuner?

The '25' tip, which sounds like is being used here will flow roughly 0.70 kg's of fuel per minute more than your injector currently, that's a fair increase. I doubt it will be able to be calibrated low enough in cc's to be comparable with your acerts injector, meaning engine will smoke until enough air can enter the cylinder to clean it up on acceleration and on gear shifts. The other thing to keep in mind with the '25' tips is, not so much about the hp increase as will be the torque increase given less restriction through the tip in relation to the acert one.

Don't get me wrong, a '25' injector will put a smile on your face while driving, and possibly some money in your pocket with fuel saving, it just pays to be informed and gather as much knowledge as you can. Hope this helps, and again, not trying to start an argument.

Why the secrets? I for one would like to learn as much as possible. At some point I'll need injectors. One has been replaced already under warrantee , they put in a reman. I've spent my whole career with the cat product. And my local cat house always bad mouths any non cat products or solutions to cat short comings .

Well I've gone to the dark side with pdi , and I am very pleased with the results.

Also most of the "heavy hitters" making these rebuilt injectors seem to know each other, interesting.........

    Ok... I'm spooked ...

When I initially responded and said I'd have to be crazy to pass on pyrohigh's offer..... well, I must be crazy.

I'm registered in Ontario and we need to pass Drive Clean emission inspections in order to renew our plates ( mine will be due for March ). Also I imagine I'm a bit unusual in that extra Hp will only put a smile on my face if it pays at the fuel pump. Ultimately I have to look at what makes the most pure business sense and putting my truck on the block as a test mule has my courage failing. I spent well over $30 000 last ]June for a full platinum inframe from Cat with unlimited mileage warranty out to the 4 year mark. Bypassing any of that has to be proven worth it ahead of time.

Currently my truck runs like a top, and I've obsessed relentlessly to achieve that.

If someone else carries this forward and these injectors will perform positively than the cost of paying for 6 of them out of pocket is inconsequential.

Thanks to pyrohigh for what is undeniably a confidant and gracious offer but someone else in a better position to accept you offer won't be hard to find I'm sure.
