Most Mega Carriers are Team Orientated, meaning Teams get Priority over Solo Drivers. The bottom line with these Companies is that if you Tow their line, you'll get Miles. If you Cry about Home Time and Refuse Loads then you'll sit. Its just my Observation of the Whole Industry so far.

2000 miles... Miles suck there

Im gettin like 5k -5.5k...its jus how u and ur co driver handle loads and ur fleet manager...last week we ran so hard our drive shaft shattered in our volvo...now we got a lil ### cascadia =/

With an attitude like that, its small wonder you werent getting miles. My co and I are running every day, because we do our job, pick up and deliver on time, and yes, kiss our FM's butt. Which is EXACTLY what it takes in this industry. For our hard work, we get planned out on our next load or two before the first is even halfway there.luv2drive365 Thanks this. -
I just finished my 24 days and get my co driver and truck Monday or Tuesday and cant wait till i can put some miles down and get paid big money

Thinking of joining up with CRST for the team position? Any pros or cons?
-
ditto im also considering a team position. any advice?

I have done a lot of research about trucking in general and based on my research, CRST does get a lot of negative comments, but some of those comments I think are disgruntled employees. I am sure there is some truth to some of the comments, but I can't believe that CRST is so bad because they are still in business. My biggest attraction to CRST is that they only have an 8 month commitment. I like Central Refrigerator, but the 8 month commitment with CRST is nice. Is there anyone with knowledge who can answer whether I should try CRST or just go with another company. I don't have family and I am able to be out for long periods. I know I will have to bite the bullet with any company until I get experience, but the shorter commitment with CRST is nice and then I can move on sooner with a better company. Am I going to get screwed over by CRST or should things be ok? Do they give you lots of miles?

I was in a class of 18, we were the third class to go through their new school in Waterloo. All but 4 of us are still here. Don't know if that helps. My experience has been just fine
