I am Kevin... last name starts with an Mc also... My grandfather was known far and wide as Mac. And he lived in Iowa... a little northwest of you in New Hampton

 

I delivered to that food distribution company recently.

 

I had a load of candy going there in Temple, but it doesn't deliver until tomorrow night, and I am supposed to be in grad class. I'm sure they have a few D & D teams still needing to get off the yard due to truck repairs etc.

 

That's what I delivered too... to North Carolina though.

 

Dispatch was a bit put out since I didn't call ahead for approval to drop the load on the yard, but I'm in grad class and my co-driver is headed back to NJ to help out family with Sandy repairs for a week.

 

Was that you that I told to bring in the load?

There are about 5 Trainee trucks out there not making it in tonight. Sorry...we tried.

Just another word to the wise....the new phone system goes live sometime wednesday. Tonight they were telling us it would be in the afternoon or evening.
Look for some real fun.
So far I (and other weekend/night people) have not had any training.
We don't even know our signin codes.
Everyone's extention is suppose to have changed, but there isn't a roster of the new numbers yet.
Oh boy, oh boy!!

So I come back on shift saturday morning. No training...and no one to train us.
Be patient! I can see 3 hour backups coming.
But it's new and improved!

 

Can you just PM me your cell phone number? I'll buy you a cup of free break-room coffee next time I'm on the yard.

Hopefully the transition goes smooth. Not holding my breath though...blue doesn't look good on me.

 

Nope, it wasn't me. I took matters into my own hands to make sure I was here on time. Didn't hurt that the truck had a severe air leak.

 

Fozzy no offense to you but this is where your reputation starts for when you go solo.Can this driver be counted on to run when its needed.So far it looks like no to the dispatchers and planners.Are you getting the message.I consistently ran 3000 miles solo and over 4000 training.Why do you think that was.Because I didnt want to run at night or run hard.You need to think about that for when you go solo.
