This is all fine and dandy but just remember that there are poeple in regulatory that are watching for this crap and will jump at the chance to nail your arse to the wall for driving off duty. Trust me I know, I got busted for driving from my parking space at the Indy OC around to the wash bay and back off duty. My dbl never said a word about it but I sure heard about it from regulatory over a month later.

So I just picked up a load of pickles. The bills have protect from freezing written on them. How do I keep the inside of an aluminum box above freezing when it is going to be below 20 out tonight?

Either Idle your truck all night and direct the heat of the exhaus onto the trailer and or find a heated garage somewhere to park the trailer? If you are by an OC, which you prob aren't, they have ways of protecting the load supposedly.

Hey legally if it takes less then 7 1/2 minutes, and you go back to off duty, it does not have to be logged. I'll refer them to my handy dandy code book.

That is what I told them and I got the 3rd degree. They said it doesn't matter what the code book says, SNI policy is that if the truck is moving, you have to be logged in as driving.

That's because in case of an accident they will go through your log book like a fine tooth comb and now with that qualcomm update it actually shows your every movement and close to your exact location on their map

    BEST SONG EVER!

As to a freeze protect load you'll need to get with OPs. They'll tell you to idle the truck. As long as it stays below 20 that might work.

How will idle your truck keep your box from freezing?
