I receive safety and performance bonuses that take me over .40 a mile.
-
The other thing I failed to mention is that my company matches 401k contribution up to 10% of annual income. That's another one of those things that's hard to pass up.
-
Yes it is. Our profit sharing money is deposited directly into our 401k as a match, so it varies from month to month.
-
I mean think about it, that's free money
-
Sounds to me like you've already answered your own question.
-
Okay, I don't want to beat a dead horse, however, I will leave all you bright eyed and bushy tailed 0/0 wannabees with this, I had an old timer tell me he was an 0/0 back in the day and that he had 2 good days all those years, the day he bought the truck and the day he sold it!
heavyhaulerss Thanks this. -
Actually Captain Nemo started this and has yet to heard from again.
-
I reckon you can call me an old timer and I remember the feeling of an enormous weight being lifted from my shoulders when I sold my last truck in '05 as the man handed me that check.
-
Yes, sometimes even more than that.
For example, last week, 11/18 loaded from Shelbyville IL - 11/21 unloaded Seattle WA 2200mls, then loaded 11/21 in Kent WA - delivered 11/23 00:15am at Memphis TN (2424mls). Some time I don't have time to sleep longer than 4 hrs a day. I'm tired to rush my self all the time, that the reason why I start thinking abt O/O.
