Will this is a bit annoying. I have a preassignment to pick up a loaded trailer tomorrow in Dallas. It shows my appointment to pick up is between 07:00-16:00 yet it shows the load ready time isn't until 16:00. Time to call support shift.... again, since the first woman was of no help.

after eating up 3 days of work on one load worth only 500 miles my next assignment has me doing a customer live load then dropping the load 50 miles away to be relayed????? So I take all the time getting it loaded and someone else will get the money to deliver it LOL

    Why?

    1) I'm more likely to look for opportunities to assist the dim and/or incompetent than belittle them. I try to be a teammate more than anything else, I try to leave the equipment nice for the next guy, I try to be courteous and communicative with people... I don't have an issue with wanting to confront anyone and make them leave, or take out some frustration at their expense. My issue isn't necessarily that low quality people exist or that I share a workplace/profession with so many of them, it's that if I were running this operation (or any operation for that matter) I would be sure to identify my intelligent, productive, motivated players and ensure they have a reason to stay...rather than the exact opposite.

    2) Causing a scene and being rude isn't really my style...recent internet posts notwithstanding.

    3) Physical fighting (as opposed to arguing) is fun, but I've got lots of arthritis in my hands from punching and some lifelong effects of KO's and I'm pretty much past the point in my life where I want to be facing off with people, as much because I'm aware of the damage I can cause and the legal and moral/ethical ramifications of it as because I am uncertain of exactly who I'm dealing with, and what he might be carrying, at any given time in this lifestyle of constant unfamiliarity.

Is that enough of an explanation for you? thumbsup.gif

This just makes my day. Also our trucks don't have the special hood mirrors required by NYC on trucks. 53-foot long trailers are not allowed to make pick ups or deliveries in any of the boroughs of New York City.
