Im a white guy with Schneider and I make good money. One of my friends here is a black man. Retired Army. He also make good money.

Btw, my black friend is a well respected man who is pretty darn intelligent.

It's not racist to point out that a company is thriving on recruiting undereducated inner city drivers then paying them poorly. It's just not. If they were putting up misleading billboards right next to trailer parks full of tornado bait crackers or sending recruiters to every cdl school in chinatown I'd say the same thing about that....but that's not what they're doing, and we all know it.

The point I'm making remains the same, it's not going to be a good company to work for as long as they're flooding the driver pool with people who struggle with basic math and literacy....of whatever race. And to be absolutely clear: if you're reading this, it's definitely not you I'm talking about. I'm talking about people struggling to read, you're reading this right now, put 2 and 2 together.

 

The Dallas tornado earlier this year was not in "crackerland". It was in the inner city. Nice try but next....

 

I've had the same experience. I've met any number of great guys driving for this company, black guys, white guys, etc. It seems like the happiest ones are the ones who have a pension from the military so they don't mind a slow month.

I don't think anybody genuinely enjoys working for any of these big carriers. Just because there are worse, and make no mistake I understand there are worse than SNI, doesn't mean SNI couldn't make small adjustments to be much better. That's something that gets lost in a discussion like this.

All that company pride feels good until they f u c k you...maybe you'll get luck and they won't. I hope that's the case, but the odds are not in your favor, they're not in any of our favor.

Oh and as for "not cutting it"....what exactly does "cutting it" consist of? Does it consist of safely and consistently delivering freight day after day, month after month? I guess I've been "cutting it" then. Or does it consist of strutting around in a cloud of BS fog pretending your company is The Best Job in The World!!...because I'm not going to be "cutting it", cutting that, until they make some key changes in the way they do business.

 

Well I got the tornado bait comment and as a white dude I found it to be funny as hell and true lol

 

I don't have a military pension and I make over 60k a year at SNI.

For the most part people are selfish and only care whats best for them regardless of skin color. Uneducated and stupid are the same in any color, I have met drivers of all races are are complete selfish idiot jerkoffs and I have met drivers of all races that are very professional. I have learned you are generally like the company you keep. Look at how your friends behave and act and you for the most part act just like them.
