I started driving this morning at 0900. I was ready for a nap at 1100. I stopped and walked around my truck and was good to go after that.

Somedays I can drive 11 hours and not feel tired one bit. Other days, not so much. I've been up since 0700 and I'm ready to drive a full shift, but I got 3 hours left on my 14.

I got 320 miles between me and my house. Personally, if I was on paper, id be home tonight. I slept for 4 hours today at my consignee and feel ready to go, but I'm sitting at my shipper now and waiting to get loaded. Once I'm loaded I'll be going to a pilot. Like I said though, paper, id be home tonight, and honestly, I don't see one thing wrong with it. I won't be tired but "rules is rules".

Course there IS a power cable to that qualcomm.......and I COULD just switch over to my paper log book. Only people that would know is the company if they reviewed those logs.

in all honesty, when is enough enough?

i just read some of the more revisions they are making with csa, and they will keep doing it until we stand up

but as long as we keep laying down and letting them dictate, they will continue

    i tried running by HOS.

i found myself very stressed out becuase i was on the clock. my production and income also went down.

good thing i work where the trailers are preloaded and access codes to the locks. so i don't have to worry about bankers hours.

I have a confession to make

In my years of reading about history, from the times of Moses and Pharaoh to Nazi Germany, I have always wondered where I would have fit in.

Would I have been with Moses, or just chose to follow the crowd?
Would I have been a patriotic German and did the bidding of my Fuhrer or would I have joined the resistance?

I wonder because after all is said and done, the german soldier or the soldier in pharaohs army all thought they were doing good, following orders, obeying the president (leader) or whoever. And you can also carry this to the American Revolution (if you saw the movie Patriot with Mel Gibson).

Each of us have to look at who we are, where we are, and the society around us and freely decide if we are going to go with the flow or buck the system.

if the system is good, or tolerable, mostly I will go along, but if i get any inkling that it is the wrong direction, I am the first to about-face. Always been my thinking.

Lately, watching the direction of our country and government and society at large, i have a scary feeling that the direction we are ging is not right. And this is beyond democrat and republican, this is the overall direction we are going. Our kids are dumber, we are fatter and lazier, and we have more gadgets than the detective, himself.

We have politicians robbing us blind, and they dont even hide it any longer. Our Supreme court is giving corporations people power, and the people are being reduced to working fodder for the corporations.

So when i speak so vehemently against these government regulations, it is not solely on the elogs or eobrs, but some of the other stuff that i see or hear coming down the line and its all designed to make us and our children and grandchildren cogs in the wheel, brainless, mindless cogs in the wheel

And as the movie said, I am mad as hell and i am not taking it any more. So with the Amber Alerts, and the always recorded digital conversations and the government able to read your email and domestic drones and corporate profits soaring while workers wages are stagnant, its about time we wake up

I think you're right to quetion things, but I would suggest another route. You have a lot of passion for your beliefs, maybe its time for you to try to make a real change. Maybe its time you take your passion and try to sway the beliefs of others. Of course in doing this you'll need to make some sacrifices, you may need to put the driving aside to devote the amount of time neccessary to make a change. The way I look at it by simply not following the rules you aren't changing anything, in fact your one of the flock as the vast majority of the industry doesn't follow the regulations.

Have you not figured it out yet?! When you're on e logs you're the safest driver on the road, you make tons of money, the clouds are made of cotton candy and it rains gumdrops and lolli pops! Oh and you're allowed to drive around with your head up your ##### because, hey, you're on e logs, you're within the HOS so you're safe no matter what... Anyone who is against them or doesn't run them is a wreck less murderer in an 80,000 pound truck...

They won't be happy until there is a probe on the driver seat of all trucks that you must sit on connected to a monitor on the dash that tells you everything to do, like, when you're tired or not, when you're thirsty, when to fart, and when to breath.... Ding ding oh, look it's 3:15 time for my mandatory poop break....

I've been at this shipper waiting to be loaded for the past 5 hours. Another 5 hours and I'll be legal to drive....even though I haven't been sleeping, I'll be safe, e logs say I'm good to go.

I'm just poking fun now, sorry.
