I'm looking for what seems to be a special air hose... of course... :biggrin_25521:

    The standard one is:
3/8" I.D. Air Hose Assembly with 3/8" One Fixed-One Swivel Ends

The swivel then usually comes with an adapter and by default this adapter is for 3/8" mpt.

..however, I need the adapter to be 1/4" mpt.

I found 1/4" x 1/4" hoses in 3/8" diameter but that won't work because then the one fixed end is 1/4" mpt.

Haldex doesnt make what I am looking for, so I wouldnt mind buying the hose above but cant find these adapters I need.....

I believe they are bubble flair to mpt ?

You could use the 1/4" X 1/4" hose with a 3/8" to 1/4" bushing at one end.

    Hanadarko Thanks this.

It's acceptable to use a bushing but not an adapter as the adapters often get broken off easily.

Yea I might try some dealers....but they can be spendy. ($20 or more for a $7 hose).

so...maybe I will keep looking for the bubble flare to NPT.
NAPA might carry or can get those.

After all, the fitting i need comes on a HALDEX cable....so SOMEONE must make it!

Weatherhead and gates both sell that hose. The fitting on the swivel end is interchangeable between hoses, the flare end of the fitting is the same so you could just use your original 1/4" fitting on the new hose.
