As for the upper / lower levels, if you're billing and selling your product as a 'truck' GPS (at a premium cost, mind you), the least you can do is make your own exception for routing over the upper level of the GWB. And the restriction is not actually the GWB itself. My experimentation showed the restriction at the highway bridge just east of the GWB.
The I-95 corridor through NYC is a very heavily traveled area. I don't think that it's unreasonable for us to expect that a company with the brand name recognition and reputation of RM would take positive and aggressive action to ensure that routing solutions through the area would be 100% accurate and efficient. I'm not seeing that, and I'm at a loss as to the reasoning behind that decision.
My map database is over a year old, according to the messages that my unit is giving me. And the dock software doesn't offer me an option to upgrade. AND the periodic updates don't fix this glaring oversight. Can you, as a 'lead beta tester' and our primary link to the company hierarchy, explain to us why this major issue has not been addressed in a timely manner?
Don't get me wrong, I like your product. What I'm dissatisfied with is the seemingly lackadaisical response to MAJOR issues with routing efficiency. Especially since one of the biggest marketing incentives of RM is the routing efficiency and dollars saved by same. I don't see how you can justify that when errors in your routing algorithms cost untold numbers of truckers over an hour and 60-some miles each way while transiting the NYC area to and from New England. And you simply shrug it off as 'map data' issues.OtatKen Thanks this. -
By creating multipule threads it creates a monster for trying to do support. I am on this forum as a support, but this is not what I do all day and night either. I do hold a full time job. Keeping the posts to one thread for support makes life a little easier for me trying to support you.

Don't feel bad, Garmin is just as bad. I haven't any idea where these companies get their info, but they need to tighten up.
