Who pays for the wrecker? LEO or the driver/OO/carrier? Heavy duty wreckers are wildly expensive...and there are a few carriers that will smack you with a preventable just because a wrecker was called, costing you your job and your ability to locate another job.

i have heard of $400 for a marker light out, $500 for not drawing the line down on your logs, and other outrageous fines
$2750 for talking on a cell phone, plus $11,000 to the company
whats to stop them for making it a capital punishment?
now i hear they are upping the fines for HOS violations, up to $2750, what a nice round number -
Why bother trucking?..... -

HOWEVER, if it's going to be enforced it should be enforced across the board, cite regular drivers. LEO's should lose their jobs if they're on the phone and driving, I can't think of a reason why they would be exempt from the law. So let's all get on the same page and enforce correctly. The only thing worse than not having any regulations are regulations that are not enforced correctly.Working Class Patriot and volvodriver01 Thank this.
