i dont like the areas im running i hired on as an otr guy not regional didnt know at the time we are a regional company. was told we do all 48. we dont. i get around 450 miles a day maybe 500. only problem is its the same part of i 70 over and over. i dont own a house or apt anymore. have no need or want to get home at all. would rather stay running but thats not happening here. stevens had me in 45 states in 8 months.

ive already quit once and tried to put 2 weeks notice in already. decided to stick it out till spring i guess though
-
Thanks for the help!
Forgot to ask, how far North do you go? -
upstate ny like buffalo and ive made it to laredo but thats as far west as we go and thats rare i was told. we drive all automatic frieghtliners or internationals dryvan. we have a few reefers but they are mostly in ny or ohio we have some livestock trailers too. its a good enough starter company just not what i really want
-
they have a training program though i personally didnt do it but the school i went to has a placement option with hogan

if 48 is more your cup of tea id look at conway or usa truck over stevens. or marten transport. all i believe are better pay, and never had problems with miles with any of them. ive had family issues, so ive been on and off the road...thus the experience with several different companies. granted, ive no personal experience with stevens, but ive had enuf friends tell me to stay away from them...... if indeed hogan runs only east, perhaps at look at heartland is also in order. their pay is better than 38 cpm i believe, and bonus pay for any miles run east of ohio.

Just from seeing Hogans ads in Nebraska, I know that they adverstise that they are also 100% touch freight, meaning you are gonna unload whatevers on your trailer. If you do local or even regional, you would have to look at load/unload pay. If they dont pay that, then .38cpm isnt really all that good because you're always stopped unloading somewhere. Good exercise I guess. Good luck
