I got approved with CRST and I have never done any otr. I was mostly local with a small amount of regional. I have stayed overnight, but that's all...and it was in a hotel.

well let us know how those 1500 mile weeks work out for you after all their deductions. you have to have some miles to go with the rates.

I actually decided to be a company driver and save money to buy a truck instead. Too much "what if" and leaving things to chance the other way. Hope I'm making the right choice.

I have been putting in 1,000-1127 mile weeks and I must say seem to be doing just fine. Their deductions are $368 per week that they take out of my check. One of my short haul loads pay this at the first of the week and the other 7-9 $400 loads I am hauling are going into my pocket. Which I have to pay fuel out of but for being by the house every day and not running alot of miles I seem to be doing just fine with Malone. Work isn't for everyone but for the ones that are willing to work for their money you can do just fine.

You must of been in a bad area and stayed running in a bad area. You can't say I am talking bs when I am the one pulling for them NOW and I am doing just fine. Maybe you didn't use the right agents? Maybe you didn't set up any direct shippers? I am doing both. Like I said for the guys that know the trucking business and are willing to do the leg work to make money then you can do just fine at making a decent living leased to Malone.
