I think you've been spoon fed some BS, the Prostars weight 1000lbs more then the Volvo's. They do turn pretty good though.

600 miles in the last 3 days. Knight had best un-#### itself.

Not to excuse Knight completely, but doesnt this usually happen B4 Christmas---lots of freight til Thxgiving, loading up the shelves of businesses, and then dead til Jan doing some replenishing, and slow thru March?! That was always my experience in the trucking industry....

Well, it usually didn't get slow till after Christmas. Then again I was always hauling IKEA before. Come to think of it, closer we got to Christmas the more the loads where "Customer Ordered" loads. Those where always a nice change because they where light. Got a load for today, a whole 39 miles loaded, am suppose to get $75 short haul pay, we'll see if I actually do.

When I 1st started w/Knight, they used to ask for drivers to drive thru Christmas & New Years...but that 'offer' went away after the years..one year I made $$ running Fry's multi-stop grocery loads from Phx to Albuq, and then carrying bulk grain loads from Farmington, NM to the dairy in Buckeye, AZ during that time. The economy is still screwed up now, and so who knows if stores will over-sell their stocks and need more freight B4 Christmas! Good luck...

Also, did someone say Knight lost Ikea ? If so, to who?

They haven't lost all IKEA freight, lanes come up to bid every so often. They lose some, win some, and gain some new ones. They did lose Tempe to Heartland I know for sure.

Heartland moved down to Phx when I was there, and got aggressive, taking as many Miami, AZ BHP copper to Kingman wire/cable loads as they could.

I liked the IKEA loads, but got burned on a Burbank load drop (over the hill, L.A. traffic, & only 90 paid miles from Lebec), no MT as they were holding (locked up) for the Knight dedicated drivers..so got stuck in L.A. w/o an MT...I turned down the next Burbank load after a Blythe cotton unload in Bakersfield, and sat for 1 day as my punishment (but I kept my MT!!)...and IKEA Lebec to Tempe used to be a reg load home for me in the early IKEA days b4 dedicated runs..

Load assignment says: P/u on 12/15 between 8-12 call customer with eta

Customer says: Knight's been screwing up a lot lately, we aren't open on weekends.
