I am a recent graduate and was highest GPA in my class. I've decided to go with U.S. Xpress as my company of choice. They meet my needs and. I'm looking forward to the new adventure. I am hoping I can find someone or they can find someone that would like to team permanently. Fingers crossed :)

Congrats on the career. Im hoping to go with USX after school. I just completed my app to see if i can get a pre hire and turning it monday. Im just wondering did you have to sign the paper about teaming for atleast 6 months after you upgrade to first seat driver?

You do 120 hours with your trainer and then you do 8 weeks with another newbie. No 6 months unless you decide to team. I want to team because your hours are consistent. When do you finish school? You could start very soon.

Thanks for answering my question lol I started my own thread with that question and a ######## answered by saying "how can they make you team" truckers lol but im waiting to hear back USX before I start school but if I hear back the end of this month ima sign up and hopefully start class the end of feb at tri-c in cleveland. I seen that paper about teaming for 6 months and kinda didn't wanna finish the app but I guess teaming would help starting til I learn enough.

Its a great learing lesson when you team at first from what I've been told and read. You have the options to make more money and most companies put their teams as top priority for miles. As we all know .......miles equals money. Good luck to you!!

I've read that too and read some teams get 7000+ miles a week, that's a ton of driving but that don't seem real to me lol thanks for the luck ima need all I can get cause my past work history is jumpy cause I can't seem to find the right job (cause I've known all along I wanna be a trucker) and my driving record has a 15 over. Was they hard on you about your driving record and past work history?

I totally agree with this post, you should wait and see how it goes, give experience a chance to show you what is really involved in teaming or even just being a solo driver trying and learning how to manage your time and life in a truck.

You need to figure out if you can even sleep in a moving truck before you commit to being a team driver. Bouncy bouncy....
