Good deal man! That's how I got my start! I was in Germany though.I actually liked it very much.I was actually employed there as a painter of construction machines, and it just so happened that I had the opportunity to deliver what I 'd painted!Good luck, and try to have fun with it!

Good for you. Found out Crete Carriers gives credit for military driving. They have flatbed, reefer & dry van. Best wishes on your new job.

Talked to a Schneider recruiter today, wanted me to send a copy of my 348, maybe start at a higher rate then the .29cpm initially offered

yeah, but if you're in business for yourself, every cent counts, and ultimately for your boss.If you're driving slower, you're generally driving safer too....Plus,there is less stress on you ! Besides, look arond..it's a rare sight indeed to see a truck really hauling #####!

Well, I'm not talking about being out there driving like a moron. Slower is not necessarily safer. These fleet trucks with their nuts cut off are dangerous as hell. You put a 62mph truck on a hill loaded, next thing you know they're doin 45 on an interstate where the speed limit is 70 and most four wheelers are going 80 or more. I think that's far more dangerous than a truck that can run 75 or so and get a decent run and go at a hill. That's just my opinion though.

Mmmm,I think you may have a point there. I spent a lot of time driving in Germany,"Land of Governed Trucks" And you are right! How could i forget!? Also known as the "Home of the Elephant Races!" One truck going 55 MPH and the other 54MPH.. And they still have the same problems we have here.Tailgating, falling asleep at the wheel and not enough places to rest,we just have more space not to do it in!haha

US 322 just west of Mifflintown PA. BIG hill to come down. Yeah, it's steep. Scary part wasn't the #### grade. It's being limited to 20 MPH IN the mainline traffic with cars speed limit at 55 MPH. People would race up your ### and at the last minute, change lanes all going down hill. WTF happens if THEIR brakes fail?
Same thing I have been seeing all over the NE since I came out here on Tuesday.
Slow trucks and fast cars are accidents WAITING to happen.rockytopcummins Thanks this. -
