Well guys, I've been staying pretty busy. Going to deliver in Danville, VA tomorrow, then she said about 80% chance they'll just tell me to head home. Hope everyone has a merry Christmas and enjoys their time off.

yeah, i'm suspecting the same will happen to me. AZS and I parted ways after delivering in Lebanon KY on Monday and I went to Decatur, IL to grab parts. Delivering this morning in Houston, TX... and I suspect i'll be headed home myself. I could always get some short runs to get me home tomorrow but i'm not holding my breath here. The check will suck on the 10th but... c'mon 8 days (minimum) off!

After sitting in Houston for almost 24 hours, got a load from Corpus Christi to Ozark, AL. It's going to run me by the house. Doesn't deliver until the 26th. Hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday.

I think they are, I know Kristen asked me last week if the end of this week would be ok for getting home for Christmas. I didn't even ask. I was hoping they would get me THROUGH The house, but I've taken a lot of time off lately with the baby and all, but sure enough, I'm sitting at the petro in carnesville, ga, empty, on my way home for at least 6 days. Of course, you know, female dm, new baby that she asks about twice a week, new wife, she's more than sympathetic. I hope all you guys make it home safely with this nutty weather that seems to be everywhere today.

As an aside, someone in the grape vine told me that they're starting to put APUs on the 379s that aren't going anywhere, anyone know if there's any truth to that? Might actually get a fuel bonus if so..

    AZS Thanks this.

Yeah, in hindsight i'm glad I didn't get that Fargo/St paul load! I ended up getting home yesterday the 20th after delivering in Houston and deadheading, and i'm off until the 28th at the least ... trucks in the shop this weekend though. She died out right in the middle of US59 in Houston yesterday... I lack a fuse panel cover and in hindsight I think I hit the ignition fuse with my foot... so hopefully a cover gets put on it to prevent another die out in the middle of rush hour.. then a troubling headlight issue that Laredo couldn't fix.. and I think made worse. AZS.. I found they somehow wired it up to my running light flasher button cuz everytime I hit the button my headlight would blink. lol.

That grapevine rumor about APUs would be nice... i'm at 670k miles though so Im not sure they would put one on mine. But, not hearing my low battery alert go off at 3am when I run my heater would be a nice addition to my truck.

I compile my stats (every mile I run dispatched) for my own use.. .and keeping companies honest... and I did pretty good for this year. I didn't take much hometime during the summer but got a fair amount in Sept, Oct, Thanksgiving off, and this last week of Dec... heres a snapshot... and not too shabby I might add. April was low since I didn't start orientation until Apr. 16th...
