great, we will do that. But they held a paycheck that was due today, I didn't think it was legal to do that?! its Christmas and we are now short 1200 which makes it hard to stop and by a scanner!

withholding pay would not fall under DOT regulations, it's a questionable tactic but I would think it's legal. If a company isn't getting their bills, it's hard for them to get paid, if they're not being paid it would make sense that drivers that aren't getting their bills in on time also don't get paid. So my guess is that its less about logs and more about bills.
Scalemaster Thanks this. -
I'd be on the phone then real quick with the driver manager to work this out and explain or come up with a working solution. -
NY says you cannot hold an employees money for NO reason, if they owe you something, you have to take them to courtMeltom Thanks this. -
Here's the deal people ( and you know who you are ). We welcome our DOT professionals here, and want their advice and wisdom. If you have a chip on your shoulder and you start in on our DOT or LEO members, I will not warn you, I will promptly show you the door. We already lost one of our wonderful DOT officers to this kind of behavior, and I will not tolerate it here again. And since warning last time, didn't work, my policy might be strict, but its also swift and fair. Do not harass or goad our officer members.

Here's a question for you DOT guys, I'm seeing more and more of 1 vehicle,(4 wheeler) pulling another(4 wheeler), pulling another,(4 wheeler) isn't this considered doubles? I know they're not commercial but I also wonder how it can be legal, I'll bet neither the second or third vehicle has brakes, to me, this is very dangerous and they should be stopped, whether they are commercial or not.
Just wondering your thoughts on this and if you see this, if you can stop these?
Thanks.bullhaulerswife Thanks this.
