Everyone talking about not being home, having issues, and everything else. I have only been late for hometime once, and that was due to Hurricane Sandy. Other then that, I have been home when I requested. Then again it might have something to do with the fact that, I have told them where to go and how to get there a few times. I dont care. They have not tried anything with me, cause I would have left the truck right where it sat. Also, I read about dispatchers forcing you to take something illegal, or unsafe...your an idiot if you do that, plain and simple.

I will tell you about my illegal/unsafe load experiences.

#1. Valdosta Georgia, Pilot exit 11. I relayed onto a load that was CLEARLY hazmat, I called dispatch and told them, they said "this load wasnt pre billed as hazmat", I said I dont care what it was pre billed as, I am looking at the bills and there is over 5,000lbs of hazmat on here, I'm not moving this truck one inch. They started agruing with me, I finally told them "thats fine, lets call DOT and see what they say". They shutup real fast and had someone else come get the load.

#2. Minooka Illinois, Pilot. Overweight on steer tires and couldnt fix it, even after sliding trailer tandems. They told me "You have to run this load, get moving". I told them I am not going anywhere, it's illegal, end of story. They kept telling me to run it, I said are you guys blind deaf retarded and desperate? I am NOT running this load PERIOD, end of story. It is ILLEGAL, I am NOT getting a ticket, fix it or find someone else to run it. After arguing and telling them to go #### themselves, I talked to operations in the morning, got it fixed and continued on.

They WILL try and force you to run illegaly, stand your ground, and tell them to go #### themselves. They wont pay your ticket, matter fact, they'll probably fire you for the ticket. Its YOUR responsibility to watch your own ###, CRST will try and get away with MURDER if they know your a pushover.

They may not like me, but they know I am not going to take their ####. And I run great, good miles, good loads.

    Moral of the story:

STAND YOUR GROUND WITH CRST!!! If you KNOW it's illegal, DONT run it, or do it! If you do, DOT will say "thats YOUR problem, not CRST's. Ignorance of the law is no excuse!

You can silde the trailer tandems and move some weight, but not much. Had to take it back to the shipper and get some weight taken off. CRST doesnt have sliding 5th wheels.
