Don, that is a FACT! I actually did miss it, Had to turn around....then down 18 about 2 miles, then out to Modena, loaded cubed hay. I had no clue any of those places existed, I knew about Enterprise, but had never been there.

I will tell ya, I have been going non stop this past couple of weeks. Been nice, but in the same aspect, I had to Drive 70 twice today into Denver and back out. This morning was pretty hairy....drove out of the Eisenhower on the Denver side and it was pretty nasty for about 7 miles. On the way back, not so bad, but still had its moments, Particularly in Vail

Well, the mountain driving can get interesting in the winter time. But you are much more likely to actually get stuck out on the eastern plains, than you are in the mountains. CDOT always seems to be playing "catch-up" once you get east of the front range. In the mountains, they seem to have enough equipment and personnel to keep up with most storms.

More than once I've run old US 50 to and from Garden City, KS, when everything was shut down up on I-70. It's a PITA and slow going through all those little one horse towns, but at least I kept on moving when other driver's from my company were "stranded" up on the interstate.

Okay, so I made a beginner type mistake, I accepted a load and during said load, ran out of my 70 on day 7. still have 200 miles to go to my delivery, I really thought my DM would have some serious issues with this. Not at all, she simply said "this happens sometimes, we will reschedule your load for tomorrow. Drive safe." Not to mention, even though I did not drive the full bonus miles in November because it was my first month with them, they paid me my bonus for the miles I did drive. I am still trying to figure out why everyone has something bad to say about Andrus. Anytime I have had problems with my DM, it has been resolved quickly, and it is usually something I did that could have been prevented.

Like I said, not everyone dislikes them. My neighbor's been with them for 20+ years.

Here is my update, I usually find more time to update when I get home, so I am home for the Guard, they have been getting me home in plenty of time.
I have been constantly moving, with the exception of the restart in an earlier post (my fault, I did not track my hours as close as I should have)
I dropped my truck off last night after dropping my load off, before I got my laundry out of the truck, I have a Pre plan for Monday morning. Can't complain about that one.

I'm curious as to what they pay experienced drivers. I live in Northern Nevada and see them in my local want ads from time to time. I currently drive for Crete and don't have any major issues with them other than they always seem to be telling me how hard it is to get me home. We do very little business in the Reno area.
What started out as 11 western states has turned into anything west of the Mississippi and Chicago and Wisconsin. I haven't made enough miles to get their pay raise and usually spend a lot of time waiting on load offers from dispatch. Getting an actual PRE-plan, as in before your empty, is rare. I know my miles would be great but for the obvious lack of experience in our dispatch office.
It sounded encouraging that they could pre-plan you well in advance.

I am not exactly sure what experienced drivers get paid, but I am moving all the time. Give Barb a call. I used to work for Crete and I know what you mean about western regional, I never left LA when I was regional with them.

Here is my update, My DM asked "what are your plans for Christmas? Do you want to take time off, or would you prefer to be under a load and reset at the house?" Hind sight being 20/20, take the time off under a load, at the house. Anyway, I asked to be home on the 24th and 25th, they got me a load to Yakima, then pick up in Pasco, which routed me down through Stockton, drop in Stockton, and pick up in Tracy heading to Salt Lake City, unfortunately, it ran me through 2 storms, the one down 97 and the one over Donners, I made it home Christmas day at 5 am, just in time for the family to wake up and do Christmas. So they let me take the 26th off instead. I have a load out first thing in the morning.

What is their primary freight. No unloading?
