A bit off topic, but anybody know of any companies around Las Vegas that hire newbies? I'll have my CDL in a few weeks and would like to relocate.

I've tarped a load of roofing shingles and ask why, The shippers reply was 1) to keep the paper wrap from blowing and ripping apart during transport. 2) If it rain, well you know what rain does to paper, but one time it was plastic wrapping and I asked again why, the reply, they didnt want the rain, moisture, rain run off mix with dirt and grime splash on the wrapping, you know, the road water that splashes of the wheels, specially if it was going to a home improvement center. Roofing yards use to laugh at me when I showed up with a tarp load of shingles.

You will be in the hiring area for many, many companies. Are you meaning local, regional or OTR?

This driver did tru line a favor by quitting. If he did'nt like tarping then he should have tried their reefer or van division. My boyfriend drove for tru line and he liked them. He's from Vegas.I suggest you quit whinning driver and just drive.
