The fun of being pushed by Qualcomms and companys pushing drivers to run to the brink of there 14 everyday and stressing them out by doing so is what alot of the blame is, in my opinion. The new age of trucking. Theres no more friends of the road anymore, just other trucks in your way.
I luck out running up the west coast, mostly US97 to Wenatchee WA and back. Not as many back ups at fuel stops. The new Pilot in Klamath Falls OR is kinda of turning into a circus. most of the stops from Modesto to Washington i go to are easy to get in and out of. Even when i run I-5 from time to time up to Seattle, its not to bad. Always fun pulling in to the truckstop 4-5 trucks deep with friends. Other truckers look at us like we should not be haveing fun like we do, lol.
The main routes coast to coast i remember have very busy fuel islands, Gary IN was always a pain. I always stoped at the fuel stop accross from the Flying J or whatever its now, never a back up there, and cheaper.
Fuel Island...THE RULES!!!!!

i was at the J in cheyenne 2 days ago. camped in the line that extends to the fuel islands. ready to pull out. some day cab tanker pulled up. went inside. came out with food and just sat there stuffing his face. i couldn't go right as there wasn't a lot of room. so i pulled out going left. my truck staring at his left side. and turned on my brights to watch him stuff his face. about 5 minutes later another truck pulled out behind me to leave the same way. so now there's 2 of us waiting for this truck to get out of the way.

there are usually 2 barrells on a fuel lane.one is near the pump for putting trash in.the other is further away from the pump and has speedy dry in it.don't put trash in the speedy dry barrell, can't you tell it is speedy dry.i wrote on the covers of the barrells
speedy dry
no trash
and still had trash put in it.a coworker drew a picture of a mcdonalds bag and soda with a x drawn on it and idiots still throw trash in it.are drivers really that stupid? -
Thanks again Girl so many dumb ######################## out here, know one has a brain! Sourdiesel
-
I know you saw me go inside first because if I didnt I would of had to change my clothes before fueling.sometimes I just have to go
-
Not that stupid, just lazy. I had a friend of mine that was at a TA and some fellow kicked his bag of trash out the door. My friend went over to him and told him to throw it away. Instead he got a few superlatives so he picked up the trash and threw it away himself.

I've often thought scrawling crayon would be good for fuel-sitters. Just need a couple letters or something that would be recognized by other truckers. like FIS fuel island squawter! or ... something like that.
(crayon cuz, its not damaging, but not easy to wipe off, and would be embarassing... I should hope.) -
Ok here's one. how about when the idiot driver stops fueling, hangs up the pump and then begins getting naked and taking a shower with the washer fluid buckets. Oh c'mon i know its happened to someone out there!!!
