10 or 11 cents a mile; you're also getting paid that when the other guy is driving and you're sleeping. Depending on a persons circumstances in life, sometimes you take what you can get for a new beginning. When someone gives you a hard time about the company you drive for, ask, "OK, will your company hire me?" If the answer is NO, then say, "Then why are you giving me advice about something you know absolutely nothing about?"
As for automatic transmissions; I've been a driver for a long time & I'll take automatic over standard. Not everyone feels the same.
When you're on a curvy narrow mountain road with a load of acid sloshing behind you, it's nice to let the automatic do the upshifting & downshifting for you while you concentrate on driving.

That is still just 22 cents a mile for all truck miles. Most respectable team companies pay 40-50 cents to the truck. Sounds like this outfit is the epitome of a bottom feeder. I guess if you have to earn your experience somewhere and no one better will hire you......
