    LOL. Really?
If you can get it go for percentage.
I make twice the money and drive half as hard as I used too.
Guess it just depends on who you get on with

i may have gotten lucky here lol. i had an interview about a month ago with a big tanker company. the main stuff they deliver is gasoline, however i believe this position is leaving early am, heading down the road a bit and loading up butane of all things....any one have any insight onto hauling butane? its a home every day route as most of these positions are. I recently got my tanker and hazmat back in may and i have no prior experience with tankers. I did call the local terminal manage about 5 or 6 times since my interview lol...i could be persistant when driven lol. any insight is appreciated...thanks..

Good luck! I'm thinking about becoming a yanker. Went OTR reefer and Drivan for 2.5 years then Hauled locally for 5.5 years hauling Garbage in a turn-pike double set up. Got tired of that and wanted something new so I'm waiting for fot that stupid TSA background thing to pass and then I'll add my X endorsement. Quality Carriers is the only local one that will hire with no Tanker exp I believe.

Rosemount, MN has an oil refinery there and right across the highway is Wayne transport. They are a bigger company that do haz-mat and non haz-mat.

Ive been doing tanker for almost 2 years and it is really not for the ones that just want to sit behind the wheel. That's why we are currently looking for drivers.I haul edible and inedible products with no dividers. So it is a skill that you learn with patience and time. But I dont know if I could go back to regular vans or reefers. I too am thinking of getting my hazmat endorsement. Good luck to you all and be safe.
