I don't know...it's been below freezing every morning...heavy frosts. First several days were cold, wet and windy on the range.

In any event, training has gone well. Very good instructors, great accomodations in a very nice hotel and good food!

Heading into the "short rows" now!

Just thought I would let people know this form is very helpfull in getting to learn a little more about Roehl.. I start school in Marshfield on the 14th looking forward to it. Already have my cdl but have not driven tractor trailer in 4 years so that sucks but it will be a good refresher.

Hey all- Day 7 in Gary. Some paperwork, lots of backing a van and a flatbed while the flatbedders were strapping, chaining, and otherwise securing. Good day. C. taught us some tricks to use when caught in tight spaces. Job paperwork tomorrow and driving with our trainers. Last day tomorrow, very good experience overall. Won't say I'll miss Gary, IN, but the people here have been very helpful and that Honor Program eagle sticker will look great on my new truck!

    Treefork and Bayle Thank this.

I checked in at the Inn at Hammond to start my Phase 1 training. Wish me well guys. I am excited and nervous at the same time that I do not want to be sent home on day 1 because of the vans physical requirements, not that I am that out of shape but when I get nervous sometimes my bp and pulse go up.

A lot of people get white coat fever, don't worry about it.

What branch? Where and when? You may have already said, and I missed it.

They actually account for your heart rate going up from nervousness during their physical test.

On another not I have a job interview tomorrow for Kutzler Express pretty local / regional job of only about 150 trucks. I hope I get the job.

I am national van, there were 5 van guys originally, now 4 along with 6 flatbedders, and we are all done with Phase 1 ! New Roehl employees as of today! Our trainers are calling us today, tonight, or tomorrow; and we'll also be introduced to our FMs.
