Pretty good, drivers are leaving in droves. If you come back new requirement bring a arctic sleeping bag. And leave your entertainment at home

Yea I figured as much been sitting watching lots of SNI O/O come and go. Another thing that stinks is company drivers seem to get the scraps left over.

That's exactly how it is. The ICs grab all the nice long/light loads and we get stuck with the crap left over

Im a bit disheartened that Im reading so many sour grapes here. Although we left, we didnt leave with a bitter taste in our mouths. If we hadnt found SNI, I doubt that we would have stayed in trucking. The choices are pretty grim, right out of school.....our first bad choice was Werner, and the second bad choice was USA. It can be much worse than ambient sensors and bonus restrictions. The main reason we left was because we are pet owners....our dogs are our children. Paying house sitters to raise our dogs was not an acceptable arrangement for us. From the beginning we were seeking a company that would allow us to take our kids in the truck with us, and it didnt take long to learn that as greenhorns, we had to pay our dues first. The perks of a company truck governed at 68 mph, an apu, a 2500 watt inverter, and being allowed to rig the truck out however we want to, plus taking our pets onboard at no charge was really just icing on the cake. Its not perfect either. The mileage pay still sucks. Look around folks.....it can be much worse than Schneider. At least, even if you are in a century, you have a real sleeper compartment. How many other company trucks have you seen out there with a phone booth sized sleeper? Id go out of my mind. How many companies are governed at 60 and whose drivers are out and out fired for over speed??? No company is going to be perfect, and no company is perfect if you dont want it to be, but give credit where credit is due.

So far I'm happy with Schneider, I'm trying to get my 6 months in on Western 11 and hope to get into intermodal. They gave me a chance, trusted me with their equipment, giving me a great opportunity and don't force me to do anything stupid. Yeah my truck is old but its SOLID. I've seen more Cascadia's broke down on the side of the road because of their DEF systems. Regardless, I don't mind staying with the Orange if I end up going local intermodal. Oh yeah, forgot to mention, they gave me my first Hazmat load. Had to placard the truck, Flammable, Oxidizer, and Corrosive lol

Keep it up, they will give you a good chance to make some real money. I've heard from intermodal drivers that they make good every week. Just remember to always try not to get any preventables. If you do, all deals are off.
