As long they have freight, keep those wheels turning! I was doing REALLY well until I got here. Should get better though....all in due time.

Day 4 sitting in a Walmart parking lot. I am far beyond the limits of what baby wipes can do. If you see a green cloud in mid-western Texas, it's coming from me.

At the J in Anna, TX.

I dropped in Lancaster this morning with no issues other than they wouldn't let me take an MT. Headed to the the Pilot on Lancaster Rd. and was glad to be bobtail, place was PACKED! Nothing all morning on Mac 30, then about 11:00 am I get a preplan, picks up on Monday, delivers Tuesday in Odessa with an extra stop. I turn it down saying "2-days, 361 miles, no thanks". So 30 minutes later I get another PP followed by second one. First one was a t-called load sitting in Lancaster that delivers 54 miles away Monday morning. Normally I would have passed but the second one got my attention, picks up in Garland, TX Monday evening, delivers Wednesday in Cheyenne. I grabbed them both. The first one delivers about 6 miles away from where I'm sitting. I double back here til time to pick up the second load then head back north.

Texas and California may be black holes to some, but I lucked out.

How far is a truck stop?
Have you spoken with your DM about sitting so long? Hope your getting layover pay.
Maybe you could be repositioned to a better area.

You lucked out by getting a better load after turning down the first, that's for sure.
Being a company driver I could not have turned it down.

    I'm near Wichita, KS.
Got a load out of Muskogee going to West Jordon, UT. At least it has some miles on it that will be delivering in this pay period.
