What is even worse is when they say they can't find anything and you are looking at the loadboards right in front of you and there is stuff everywhere. I even called before to see if it was available after they told me it wasn't. Guess what..... The truth was not told.

Thankyou all for your posts.
M&H Logistics I'll remember that. He sounds sooo helpful.
I found their web site while researching hot shot. I have a new CDL license, I want to start a hot shot business. I am trying to decide if I should haul flatbed freight or haul automobiles. I would appreciate input from anyone that has experience with hotshot startup. I would like to know if there is a place that can help with startup or is it something that can easily be done by yourself. It seems that one could put together all of paperwork, and permits and stuff. It's probably time-consuming but good experience for the beginner.
It seems that it would be difficult to make enough money to make a payment for a new truck pay for $8000 a year insurance and a new trailer and still have enough money for food and fuel. I see quite a few hotshot rigs on the road, so apparently people are making money at it. I plan to move from California to North Florida. Is N. Florida Good Pl. to work from. And if not, would working out of Texas be a better idea.
Are there any hotshoters out there that have had a good experience with M and H logistics? -
yeah I worked with them for a bit. They are very helpful getting started as far as helping you get everything in order to start your business. Now the flipside is right now is a slow time and they tend to have you sitting a quite a bit. I have not worked with them during the busy season so I cant say how that goes. The trailer they have you using I guess works for them but if you are going to go out on your own I would not suggest that trailer. I would go with a 40' Deck Over. Im not sure what has caused the Gary Bash here but Gary is a pretty ok guy from my experience. His methods just dont jive with my needs.

Oh and Florida is not a great place to be trying to Haul freight from. Texas would be way better IMO.

I find all these post very interesting. I have read and followed Garys post for several months because I am in the planning stages of starting a Hot Shot service in OK. I know I could make it doing regional hot shot around OK and could do oilfield work If I wanted to relocate to the western part of state, but I was convinced the big money would to do it the way Gary says it can be done. The more I read his forum I started to see a pattern though. The pattern I saw was all the pictures of new guys getting in with all the expensive specialized equipment and all their high paying loads would soon disappear from the forum. I don't mean the post would disappear but no more new post after a few months of maybe a year. Sometimes you might see a final post from these members when they posted the truck and trailer of both in the for sale thread. Well this stated to send up red flags, so I started sending PM to to some of Gary recent new or recent former drivers and first i got no response and then I lost my PM privileges on his site. When I questioned him as why I lost my PM privilege I was blocked. i was just attempting to talk to these driver and get their real and personal opinion of Garys business plan and service. Apparently he monitors all PM on his site also. he controls the freedom of speech of the forum followers because if there is ever a comment challenging what he does or says it is deleted therefore leaving and extremely biased sense of what he does and how he does it. The opposing views are deleted. I do enjoy reading post and learning from other driver that use his forum because i have learned a ton of information but I am very aware and leery of Garys objective and real reason for the forum. It is not a public forum in the sense of the term, but rather a self promotion of Gary and his motive. MC you are one of the new drivers I tried to contact you via PM about your experience working with Gary. Since you never replied I sense you never received my PM. I know of a face book oilfield hotshot group that will boot you off if your mention Gary or H&H's name..lol There are a lot of strong opinions out there on this subject.
I will be looking for a dispatch service to get me started but they will have to be in agreement that I will find my own loads as the need arises. Good luck to us all and MC thanks for the email response recently, I will be in contact with you soon with a bag of questions. -
BAYOU Thanks this.

Just looked over at his forum and noticed he has deleted a bunch of the listings on the for sale page. Makes it look like hardly anything has been sold.
OldOkie Thanks this. -
Well, fancy seeing some familiar names here! LOL
I got banned a couple of weeks ago and just found this forum. Glad I still have some place to post and help (if I can). Thought about starting my own forum, but why reinvent the wheel. This place seems to be popular.
Had to add a '01' after my username cause it was already taken on this forum.. It is nice to see some folks that I recognize! I hope to get to know more of you.
Much Success!
