I am not sure how SNI has been assigning the trucks lately, I left last year (Just Rehired on) but I do know that when I was there you basically get what is available unless you start on an account that has the newer trucks. Last year all newbies that were getting hired on with the dollar general account got all brand new cascadias. I drove for SNI twice and both times I got an 07' century. But hey, you never know! You might get lucky..

I didn't have any major issues with the 07's. I wouldn't call them dinosaurs just yet....lol

Stuck at Indy OC all day today. Was the only way they could gauruntee me to be here at 1900 tonight for my sleep study. Wish I'd brought my shoes so I could make use of the tread mill.

lol.....well ill take a 07' as long as its not dirty as hell inside...no one should have to deal with that coming into a company...do they detail them before reissue? say i get assigned one, go out and take a look and its disgusting...is there anything that can be done?

Yep.... Just go right back inside and tell your DBL its dirty and I know my OC (Fontana) and most OC's they have guys that clean the trucks for you. Sanitize and vacuum them out. But most times then not the truck has been used and abused inside...lol Once you get it cleaned just do what you can to make it "home"....lol

The Only time I had to clean a truck is when they had me "recover" one from Reno at a police impound yard. The truck was so trashed I used 2 55 gallon trash cans to clean it out... To this day I still cant use febreze without puking...

But you should be good getting a truck at an OC.

They always tell me,"If you can see the orange on the Home Depot sign, they can see the orange of your truck. That'll be service failure if there before your window."

LVLD today, LVUNLD tomorrow. 162 miles and wasted time. Gotta love getting your experience while hoping for a way out. As soon as I get another year, I'm applying at a better company and returning the truck the right way so that doesn't come back and bite me.

Just don't talk to anybody. Park in back out of the way and do your break. When I go inside they put down my arrival time as the time they actually get the paperwork in front of their computer and scan it in. I had one load early last year where me and 3 other SNI drivers all spent the night behind the store. The dedicated guy got in first and then we went in order of appointment times.

I've asked about overnight parking before and it was never an issue even when I asked the CS rep for the required 3way calls.

Today is day 4 at home. I was only supposed to have Sat/Sun off and go back yesterday. My truck is at the dealer where they are trying to get the CEL to go away. They have been waiting on a call from Detroit Diesel for 2 days now to try and fix the issue. Unfortunately it seems that I don't get breakdown pay for Yesterday and today because I'm at home. If I wanted I could go in and take a loaner truck while mine is in the shop. I don't feel like saying yes to that and being stuck in some piece of junk that's all dirty inside when my truck could be ready tomorrow morning. I'll just enjoy the time off I guess and get some more stuff done around home.
