Linehaul is where it's at, IF you don't have to be home every night. I think you should try it ACH. You can really save some $$$ if you do it right. I got me one of those electric coolers, and when I get home, I make a bunch of healthy burritos & throw them in the freezer. When I get called in, I toss them in the cooler, along with some bottled water, & I'm off. I save $$$ & eat healthy too. Alot of other things you learn along the way, such as, how to pack. You will learn what YOU need, and what you don't. I guarantee you one thing, it's the EASIEST job you'll ever have. And hey, if you find it's not for you, then just quit. If you get burned out on it, transfer to a city bid.
You can clear a grand with relative ease, &, if you run hard, you can make quite a bit more.
Well, I'm back home. That was a nice run ($$$). A dispatcher here verified they did indeed hire 5 guys back. Also, when I said, "see you guys in a month", he said I might get called much sooner because guys still aren't answering their phones. lol Cool!

That's actually my plan, make some ready healthy meals, get a cooler, and I can even bring my p90x workout with me as they show u how to use it if traveling. I burned out of city work, if I'm gonna work 12-14 hours a day I'd rather do line haul. Plus if I don't mind being away from home that much I know I'd make it in the military as well

All the hotels have gyms now & most have pools (I think swimming is the best exercise). Also, most rooms have microwaves & refrigerators & the few that don't, have them in the lobby for you to use. What I do is, I'll make a bunch of healthy burritos (like 2 dozen), and a large pot of soup (usually bean soup for me) that I store in a bunch of stack-able 3 cup containers. I've found from trial & error, these work best. I store them all in the freezer, ready for the call.

Yea I would do that, make some soups or chilli, freeze them, and make some small meals to freeze and bring with me... MY p90x is a workout on a dvd. Most of them all are... I made the call today and he told me to apply online which I did. Going to be weird pulling doubles again though
