How do you remove the black residue from polishing? Some spots seem not to want to go away.

U using a buffer and rogue bars? If so take the fine wheel and a finish bar to it again that usually works for me.

No not on this truck just using Mothers Paste and soft rag and even wiping it with clean cloth don't get it all the way off..I had a old man tell me to dust flour on there and it come off have you ever tried that?...my old truck I used buffer and rouge bars and it turned out mirror picture but buffer quit working after I did my trailers doors so waiting til next month to buy another buffer.

No never the flour trick but itd be worth a shot have no idea if itll work but seeks like a good thing to try and itll be cheap. If its just a small area and you still cant get it off id say just wait till you can get another buffer and buff it. You've used one you know they'll take just about anything off. But then again its a sin to have chrome, aluminum, or stainless that isnt mirror finish 100% of the time lol guess thats why the last priest threw me out of the confession booth lol.

Flour works, and if it doesn't cut it use charcoal lighter fluid.
