I need you help guys and gals. Here's my problem.
Last night, I delivered a load to a well known grocery warehouse in Denver, pa. They rejected 150 cases because they didn't order them.
This morning, I called the agent, and I was told it would be taken care of. I've been on the phone with the agent many times over the course of the day, and they keep telling me the customer has to authorize return of the product to the warehouse in Cherry Hill, NJ before I can take it back to them.
I finally got tired of the run around, and called the BCO advisers for direction. They referred me to customer service, who said I have to sit on the product until whenever the customer decides what to do, with no pay for sitting on it, other than pay for layover, which they won't tell me how much it is.
I am being told I have no recourse, other than to wait, without detention pay, for however long this takes.
At 5 p.m. this evening, I was told by the agent that he was issuing a new trip number in a few minutes, so I can return it. I never got the trip number, and the agent won't answer my calls.
Needless to say, I am losing a lot of money here, with no end in sight. I want to do what's right, but what is it?
I called a storage warehouse in Lancaster, pa, who is willing to accept it, but I'm told landstar loads are not permitted to be put in storage.
I'm basically screwed. I gave Landstar more credit than this. I thought they had our backs. They always used to.
By the way, the agent doing this to me is CAP. Very unprofessional.
I would appreciate any constructive advice you can give me.

First go onto LS online and try to do a load advance. If a Freight Bill number has been issued, it will show up there.

Well anytime ive had a problem ive called customer service and had them get the agent on the phone with us. pin the agent down and get hime to get you a rate confirmation with the rate per day and the hourly rate Noted before you leave the reciever. let customer service handle it. dont be scared you can dig into there butts a bit and make them work, tell them you or landstar arrent making any money like this. Try and find OZR hes an agent on this site for LS good guy and maybe able to help you more.

Only the original load was processed. Customer service is the one that got the agent to say he's issuing a new trip number. Nothing since. I'd like to get rid of this in the morning, but going to the warehouse without being scheduled would be a waste of time. It's an NFI warehouse.

Sorry to hear that. Hope you get it taken care of. It's a lousy area to sit and wait. Not too trucker friendly. That's why I'm hanging out here. I'll head in when I get the word. only 1 1/2 hours away.
