I could get used to this sports overload. Great job Wolf Pack. Got one more day of football watching.
Heading out Monday morning with a live load in Haw River NC heading up to Monongahalela Pa for a Tuesday morning delivery. Probably visit beautiful Karns City after that.
Last time I was in that part of the world they washed me out at Nevil Island, sent me up to Niagra Falls NY, and loaded me for Casa Grande Az the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. I doubt I will be so lucky this time. I expect this week to be a couple of 300-500 mile loads getting me close to home for the weekend.Attached Files:

Got a short 400+ mile load to Monongahela Pa for Tuesday morning. It loaded in Haw River Monday morning in about 1.5 hours and other than a bunch of mountain driving was a pretty easy run. I was tankwashed immediately up to Karns City where a preloaded trailer was waiting with a Thursday morning delivery in Winston-Salem. I had plenty of time and considered taking my break at the Karns City terminal. Since it was 40F with dry roads I decided to get out of there. Shut down on 19 in Summersville WV. Tuesday night. That was only about 190 miles from my delivery point.
Rather than sit around and collect layover pay I decided to try and deliver early. I left around 6 AM, ran down to Wytheville Va and called the customer. They said come on so I gave dispatch a call to let them know I was available early if they needed me.
I was rewarded with a preloaded trailer to Griffin Ga delivering Thursday morning. That's another 400 miles plus accessorial pay. I also picked up 3 hours waiting for it which is about half of what my layover pay would have been without delivering early.
Here are a couple of pics from Tuesday. Plant was right on the river. I sure was glad Superior doesn't have a hose rack on the tractor this time. Piece of cake in and out of the hose tube this time.Attached Files:

Got home for the weekend around 4 PM. They had me drop my trailer at the Trimac tankwash near Spartanburg and bobtail back to the yard. I have the exact same load back up to Monongahela for Monday. Hope I get something a little longer out of Karns City this time. Loving the home time for the football games though.lv gn Thanks this. -
Love those kind of loads. Had a similar one about a week ago up in Tn. Backed right up to the tank, one 2" hose and plant air. In and out in about 45 minutes total.
The scenery was not as nice though!lv gn Thanks this. -
I work for a chemical manufacturer and carry the same 2 products 85% of the time. We air off 99.9% of the time. How do you unload? On board pump? Customer pump? Gravity feed?
