i was trucking for 3 months for a wonderful company. then things went sour. yes a girl was involved. needless to say i want to get out of this #### place for a while. id join the army but seeing as i got an re4 from the navy (no its not bad. not unless you want to re enlist) i cant join upuntil my paperwork has been processed (they are being unussualy slow with this). but anyways yada yada how do i get to the bloody sandbox with a rig?
barring that some info on some oil field jobs. lots of manual labor and touchy freight.

Three months won't get you there... 3 years yes.
That said, never hurts to try, maybe they're hard up

There is a 99.99% chance that RE-4 will not be changed.
I know how to get you to where the action is, if you will take me seriously. You may or may not, be in transportation once you get there. I personally tried this, but was rejected due to being over the maximum age limit. Join the French Foreign Legion, there's a bunch of Americans there now. They only take foreigners; a French citizen cannot join unless they transfer their citizenship to another nation, which the legion will help them with, but that's rare. Just show up basically with a passport, which they will take once you're accepted, but you will get it back. It's a 5 year enlistment. www.legion-recrute.com

I think if you have some exprenice with bombs there should not be a problem! -
well they give out the re4 in the navy alot now. almost everyone gets it. its a administration thing to screw you over on some benifits and to keep you from joining again. ##### is i asked if my re enlistment would keep me from joining another branch.
and wow. i checked my sep code. never checked it. no wonder the army guys wouldnt even look at me. jesus. i had no idea they hated me so much. wow. and all i did was show up late. not even often. jesus. -
The Airforce did the same thing to me.. I tried re-enlisting with different branches after a couple months of un-employment and realized I had got screwed big time. The only way I'd get back in is if another war started and they started giving waivers for everything again.
Look into Sallyport Global. I remember the bus drivers in Qatar were making over $100,000 and it's safe over there for the most part . You would need to get your P endorsement though before....With the tanker jobs you need at least 3 years for the companies I've contacted . -
Well the only sand box work that is worth anything is in Afghanistan. The only problem there is you'd be a "Fobbit". Driving inside the wire. You could not pay me to go to Iraq now. The US Military is all but gone and the contractors they have pulling security is a JOKE. My suggestion is to look towards the Oil companies.
P.S.
I did 40 months as a Combat Convoy Truck Driver in Iraq from 2007-2011.
