England pays you 90 Penny's a mile to rent a truck and it costs 70 to 75 penny's to run it per mile. So you are making 15 to 20 penny's per mile. No wonder you have newbies training newbies. Then the co can charge you more on the depreciation of the truck because it will be worth less when it is sold because of the xtra miles?
BEWARE of CR England!

Where is it written that the only place a new driver can go is to one of the mega-carriers after getting their CDL? The inherent laziness of many prospective drivers is what is causing the problems. There are hundreds of thousands of trucking companies in the U.S. Why is it that people think that only the 20 biggest hire new drivers? It's not true. Many many quality smaller companies that will give a new driver a shot don't have websites, or don't advertise for drivers.
People are simply too lazy to get off the couch and find these companies for themselves. The mega-carriers have no incentive to offer better pay or better working conditions because every week there are thousands of sheep like yourself that are beating down their door for the opportunity to drive for .26cpm.
No one forces a new driver to work for these places. People are simply taking the path of least resistance. Even after reading horror story after horror story on a forum like this, people still think it will be different for them. Many new drivers have put more thought into their last lunch order than they have put into researching a prospective employer.
It's all about protecting yourself and taking personal responsibility for the choices you makeGhost Ryder Thanks this. -
Frankly most people do not know of the problems of these companies. I found CRE for my husband and he applied, the website looked like it was an honest company. Did not know of TTR then and all the negative reports or he would not have gone there. He is somewhere else now. Unless a person knows they can find things like this on the internet they are just like anywhere else when you apply for a job.
CRE, and I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the other major training companies, is being sponsored by the government if you as me to train these people after the government chips in the money. It is a money making propisition for them, they don't lose either way, you quit before the contract for schooling ends and they make you pay the balance. They keep a steady force of labor that are under trained and under paid. And then add up all the wrecks that have occurred, they should have the worst rating of anyone I know of. -

CR England is a joke. My buddy did a lease through them, and was getting $18 paychecks. No ########.
