Danica, the person processing my application, said she can't see the e-file watermark on my 2290. I tried darkening the file with a scanner and a couple of other things but no luck. I asked repeatedly for the address there so I can FedEx it to her but she always tells me to re-scan it. Any suggestions?

Didn't you get your 2290 as a PDF? Just email that file or make a new one

I swear - I provided less paperwork for my citizenship then for Landstar qualification!

Just a quick question, Do I need to send in copies of my fuel receipts if I am using my fuel card from landstar? Don't remember them saying this in orientation and didn't see it in the bco hand book.

The contractor protection plan (CPP), is that just for the cargo or is it more like life insurance?

That is what I thought, but I had a Bco ask me the other day if I still had to send in the fuel envelope since I had the eobr and I said I just send in the mileage reports. So I wanted to make sure after he asked me that. LOL Thanks for the info.

When you lease to land star, what cost do you pay upfront. Or do they cover the cost and then you repay them. I'm talking cost for plates, insurance, any taxes and the big one-fuel. Sorry if this has been asked here but 145 pages is a little much to read through. Thanks. Dan

you cover base plate, insurance, taxes, etc. I believe you can have base plates deducted from your settlement. Fuel is all on your own. they have LCAPP which offers discounts for BCO's at many different fueling locations. They recently posted in 2012 that the BCO fleet saved some $16 million in fuel costs thru LCAPP.
