    Have a great Dell laptop, worked 4 months and hard drive crashed.

    They are on my do not buy list LOL, long boring story but my bad luck with electronics including poor customer service where I purchased the laptop.

    Bad hdd is not dell, they use so many different manufacturers, it's ridiculous.

    Rather easy and simple to replace the HDD.

    I used to work for Hutchinson Technology making drive suspension assemblies. www.htch.com Process Engineer Tech on the additive flexible circuit component and also an assembly technician for building prototypes.

    In 2009, they laid off 2600 out of 5400 employees and closed the Sioux Falls facility. In 2010-11, they moved the Hutchinson Manufacturing to Eau Claire WI and Thailand. Now that they need to "come home" again, they can't get anyone local to work for them.
