Get ready for 10 years off. Or find a small local company willing to take a chance. I got canned from a job once for one "Preventable" incident and even werner said no to me and that was after 6 months solo.

You can try Werner in about 6 months.

If I were you i'd think about another career choice though. You don't seem to appreciate how badly you screwed up.

Exactly what I was thinking when I was reading the OP....a very cavalier attitude (at least on the surface...we all deal with these things differently) to say the least.

Sorry to hear of the troubles, and I wish you well.

    Gentlemen:

After reading some of the responses, I beleived that my attempt to spin a tale of a new driver's misfortunes, got lost in the translation. Please allow me to make it plain. I costed my former company more than $45,000 in one month. I embarassed a company, because of accidents that most of YOU Professional drivers would never make, because you have told me so, and since this company was nice and took a chance on me, I tried harder not to further embarass them by trying to remember what the trainer taught me, what veteran driver say about certain areas, and how to drive there.

Please understand, I come from a back-ground where I was constantly being laid-off. Truck driving was to be that one career--not job, but career that would make the bills smaller, bank account grow bigger, and life a bit easiler. I guess that this was not going to happen. I am losing everything now. I loved listening to the driver in the lounge, talk about runs that they had. I liked the fact that even though they never saw you before, the fact that you were in that lounge, meant that you were part of a family, a brotherhood. They talked to you. Going to get fuel, regardless who you drove for, a nod of the head, smile, "how's it going" , "be safe out there, driver". or in other words, common courtesy. I am about to lose all of that. I am too old to keep changing careers. This was to be the one that took me to the grave.

I never wanted this to be taken lightly, I want to be a driver, these mistakes are now learning tools, I won't be making them again. I may have been in the wrong account, maybe I needed to just drive otr drop and hook, but I want to drive. If anything else doesn't make sense on this posting, know this I WANT TO BE A DRIVER, FOR ANYONE , ANY COMPANY!!

The air pressure from the right front tandem tire blew the tire clean off the rim. The cab was sitting at a 25-30 degree angle and I wanted to get out of the ditch. Hind-sight now says that I should have just called breakdown, tell them to call for a wrecker to pull me out, back me up into the parking lot that was the one that I should have pulled into the first place, turn around and go to the Pilot on NY53 and NY86, shut down and head out the next day, and I would still be employed now. The hole that I am referring to is what my driver liason called two feet in diameter. The pressure blew the right batwing from the cab, the computer for the qualcom, (but no damange to unit, just snapped the wires off) damaged the emergency triangles, and blew the lock off the right utility door. No pictures though, sorry
